William G. Schwartz, 78, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Amita Health Mercy Medical Center. He was born September 9, 1943 in Aurora, IL.
William was a devoted member of Annunciation Church and lifelong resident of Aurora. He was a graduate of East Aurora High School. A skilled mechanic, William worked at various auto dealers in the Aurora area and ultimately retiring from Commonwealth Edison. As a car lover, William enjoyed time spent restoring classic cars and going to watch drag racing events. He also enjoyed gardening and deer hunting. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, and he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Kathleen (Henry) Schwartz; two children, Gerald (Kelly) Schwartz, Debra Schwartz; three grandchildren, Andrea Schwartz, Ryan Schwartz, Emily Schwartz; four sisters, Sue Ducar, Jane Faber, Mary (Larry) Chilelli, Barbara (Sam) Clementz; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerard and Frances (Krantz) Schwartz; two brothers-in-law, Robert Ducar and Glenn Faber.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 17, 2022 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Annunciation Church at 10:00 AM, Fr. Patrick Gillmeyer, O.S.B. will officiate with interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
