William S. "Wild Bill" Doemland, 83, of Montgomery, IL passed away at his home on Sunday, July 28, 2024. He was born May 27, 1941 in Aurora, IL.
Bill was a lifelong area resident. Bill joined the Navy in 1963. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. On April 12, 1969, he married Carol Rukas at Sacred Heart Church. In 1972, he was employed as a carpenter for Lucent Technologies until his retirement in 1992. He loved hunting, fishing, and hot rods. Bill will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter Carla (Mark) Poss of Big Rock, IL; his son David Doemland of Telluride, CO; two grandchildren Kendra Heiss and Loudon Doemland; three great grandsons Hunter and Hayden Heiss and Holden O'Donnell; and his sister-in-law Gail Doemland.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carol Doemland; his parents Carmella (Covelli) and Robert Doemland; and his brother Tom Doemland.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 at 12:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY. Burial will take place at Marywood Cemetery after his funeral service.
