Walter F. Hogan, age 77, of Aurora, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at home with family by his side.
He was born in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late Walter T. and Elizabeth (Andrews) Hogan. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of Roosevelt-Aurora American Legion Post 84.
Walter is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sharon (Poss), and his three children, Annette (Christopher) Walton, Heather (Patrick) Schlehuber, and Walter J. (Stephanie) Hogan, and his five grandchildren, Abigail Walton, Benjamin, Patrick Jr., and Griffin Schlehuber, and Michael Hogan. Walter is also survived by his sister, Margie (Harvey) Jones of Mineral Springs, AR, his brother, Dennis Hogan, of Wadsworth, IL, and his brother-in-law, John (Jennifer) Poss, as well as several nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora 815-631-5500 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, November 6, 2023 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Marywood Cemetery.
