Walter O. English, 80, of Aurora, died on April 6 2025, at Alden of Waterford in Aurora,IL.

He was born in 1945 in Kane County, IL, graduated from Marmion Military Academy High
School and then Loras College in Dubuque, IA. He spent his early career years teaching at Our
Lady of Good Counsel grade school on the east side of Aurora, where he met his loving wife,
Kathleen (McCaddon). While building their growing family, Walt moved out of teaching and into sales working for Kroehler Manufacturing Company. He was the proud earner of the President's Club award as the top sales representative at Kroehler in 1974. He ultimately moved out on his own as a successful independent sales rep representing several different companies and mills over the years.

Walt was an avid golfer, whip smart at trivia, a bit of a handyman, and loved his monthly poker
games. Some of his greatest joys were the quality time he spent with his granddaughters while
they were growing up. He found happiness in family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen, of Aurora; three children, seven granddaughters, and one
great-grandson: Megan (John) Laurx of Aurora, and Joanna Laurx of Denver, Jillian Laurx of
Chicago, and Margaret Laurx of Champaign; Joseph (Kelli) English, Samantha (Israel) Corral
and Abigail English, all of Aurora; Colleen English of Aurora, and Reilly Jones, Regan Jones,
and Oliver Jones, all of Greeley, Colorado; as well as nieces, nephews, and many special
friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street Aurora, IL 60506, 630-631-5500.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 at 10:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY; to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 11:00 AM; Fr. Godwin Asuquo will officiate with interment Sugar Grove Cemetery.
