Virginia H. Hefke, 95, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 5, 1926 in Aurora, IL.
She was a lifelong Aurora resident and member of Holy Angels Church. She loved nature especially gardening and bird watching but her greatest love was her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Rodger Guddendorf ; her daughter- in-law, Rita Hefke; five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kristen) Guddendorf, Clint (Stephanie) Hefke, Chad (Colleen) Hefke, Carolyn (Matthew) Maple , Lindsay (Christopher) Haas; her grandson-in-law, Eric Delong; fourteen great-grandchildren, Olivia Devine, Alexis Devine, Danielle Guddendorf, Tyler Guddendorf, Gage Grubbs, Cody (Ruby) Hefke, Brock Hefke, Delaney Hefke, Vince Hefke, Annalise Hefke, Abbigail Maple, Logan Hefke, William Maple, Carter Hass; two great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; her longtime friend and caregiver, Krystyna Klich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis J. Hefke; parents Michael and Margaret (Kammes) Krantz; her two children, Karen Guddendorf and William Hefke; her grand-daughter Dawn Delong.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Holy Angels Church at 12:00 PM. Fr. Michael Lavan will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
