Much-loved Viola E. Moldovan, 95, was born in Aurora on May 8, 1928, and fell asleep in the Lord on September 9, 2023. She was a life-long member of St. Michael Romanian Byzantine Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurel and Emma, and by her "big brother" Frank R. Ardelean and by John and Michael Ardelean. Viola is survived by cousins, Darlene Ardelean and family (of special mention, Darlene's daughters: Rose, Diane, and Sandy). She also leaves behind a cousin, Delphine Kozma Thomas, and her "little brother" James B. Moldovan and many other cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted by Fr. Remus Orian and held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael Romanian Byzantine Catholic Church, 609 N. Lincoln Street, Aurora.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Wake Service at 6:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street in Aurora. 630-631-5500. Interment will be at St. Michael Cemetery, Aurora.
Viola was a good Romanian, who loved and served her parish, her family, and her community unconditionally.
