Victoria Girbovan, 72, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. She was born in Romania, the daughter of Grigore and Maria (Pop) Ratiu, on March 16, 1950.
A devoted and beloved wife, sister, aunt, and great aunt, Victoria was a seamstress for over thirty years. She was very active in her church in Ohio and was a great cook.
Victoria is survived by her husband of fifty years, Traian Girbovan; brothers, John (Florica) Ratiu, Grigore Ratiu, and Octavian (Isaura) Ratiu; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents.
Funeral services will begin Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. George Byzantine Catholic Church, 720 Rural Street in Aurora at 10:00 AM. Fr. Frederick Peterson, OSB will officiate with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Aurora.
Visitation will be Monday, February 27, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 630-631-5500. Prayer service will be at 4:30 PM.
