Verdell Marie Heinz, 88, of Aurora, Illinois passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at her home. She was born December 27, 1933 in Aurora, Illinois.

Verdell was a lifelong resident of Aurora and a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church and in her later years St. Joseph Church.

She is survived by her four sons Curt (Colleen) Heinz, Mike (Jerilyn) Heinz, Donald (Ellyn) Heinz, and George Heinz Jr.; eight grandchildren, Shawn Heinz, Willie (Jessica) Heinz, Dennis Heinz, Meghan Heinz, Laura Flavel, Bret (Renata) Heinz, Nick (Abby) Heinz, Allie (Jon) Baley; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband sixty years, George F. Heinz, Sr. in 2018; and her parents, Michael and Lucy (Burscheid) Phillipp; two brothers, John Phillipp, and Leo Phillipp; a sister, Rosemary Deutsch; a daughter-in-law, Karen Heinz.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Joseph Church at 12:00 PM; Fr. Jerome Leake will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
