Obituary

Todd W. Skogen, age 62, passed away peacefully on 2/18/24 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Dixon, Illinois to Viola (Hoff) Skogen and the late Thomas Skogen. He was united in marriage to his wife Linda Ideran for the past 26 years. He was a graduate of East Aurora High School and Waubonsee Community College. He was a member of St Olaf Lutheran Church in Montgomery, Illinois.

Todd loved his family deeply and was loyal to all his many friends. He never hesitated to help a friend in need.

Through the years, he was employed as an Electrician and Sr. Systems Analyst. He had many hobbies, including: Ham Radio, trains, electronics, music and travel. His most recent project was building a full scale replica of the 1966 Batmobile. His creative innovative ideas allowed him to develop several inventions, and included two U.S. patents. Todd had a beautiful voice and toured the U.S. in his younger years with his church group, "The Reflections"

But of all his accomplishments, his most cherished moments were the times he spent with his son, Michael. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, kind heartedness and sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Ideran; son, Michael Skogen; mother, Viola Skogen; sister Tracy (Jim) Larsen; brother-in-law David (Patti) Ideran; nephews, Steven (Cassie) Ideran, Gregory Ideran and many aunts, uncles, cousins and his two furry boys Opie and Riggs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Skogen; father-in-law, Joseph Ideran; mother-in-law, Emma Ideran; grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private interment will be held at a later date. Donations to the family will be used towards local charities.
