Obituary

Thomas E. Vickroy Jr. age 62 of Aurora IL., passed away peacefully on March 8, 2022. Tom was born in Aurora on July 24, 1959, and attended West Aurora schools, and then joined the Navy.
He loved playing the guitar, and was a gifted musician. He played in several bands, including "Swiftkick", which performed at the first Aurora Fest in 1975. He honed his craft, and could even play with his teeth, and behind his back.
He was an excellent bowler, even bowling 300 games. He loved boating, water skiing, and buying flowers for others.
He was employed as a machinist, and also a truck driver. As a truck driver, he drove over a million miles without an accident.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas E. Vickroy Sr., and Joanne (Plum) Vickroy, a sister Marie (Vickroy) Wendt, a niece Dr. Rachel Panton, a grandnephew Judah Panton, a paternal aunt Rita Adams, and many cousins, and lifelong friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Aurora with Father Dean Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Aurora.
