Theresa Apaceller, 97, passed away Tuesday August 16, 2022 at The Reserve in Oswego. She was born November 24, 1924, in Csibrak, Hungary.
Theresa was a member of St. Anne Church, the St. Anne Senior Club and the Friendly Neighbor's Club. She was also a member of the German/American Club, Special Place and the Oswego Senior Center.
On November 6, 1948, Theresa married John Apaceller in Germany. In 1956, they moved to Aurora and eventually made their home in Oswego in 1978.
Theresa was employed by Western Manufacturing Company as a welder for eight years. She later worked for eighteen years at Anchor Brush in their packaging department until her retirement in 1983. Theresa had a passion for gardening and volunteered her gardening expertise at St. Anne Church and the Oswego Senior Center. She had also been a volunteer at Rush-Copley Hospital since 1986.
Survivors include her daughter Monica Maller of Oswego; her grandson Eric Maller of Oswego; her grandson-in-law Bryant Szudarski and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John in 2002; her granddaughter Diane Szudarski; her parents John and Eva (Fuller) Fricker; her two brothers, Frank and John Fricker; her sisters Anna (John) Fuller and Elizabeth (Jakob) Kalfari; and her son-in-law Wayne Maller in 2006.
Funeral from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY will be Friday, August 19, 2022 at 9:15 to St. Anne Church in Oswego at 10:00AM with the Rev. Stephen Eickhoff officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Bristol.
