Sylvia "Bishie" Oros, 96, of Aurora, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 at the Whitley of Aurora. She was born January 9, 1928 in Aurora, IL.
Bishie was a longtime member of St. George Church. Besides the incredible love she had for her family, she considered the St. George community her extended family. She was very involved in all the activities at the Church for many years. Bishie enjoyed playing bingo at various clubs in Aurora. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her three daughters Sharrie Oros, Vicky (Claude Petit) Oros, and Kris (Mike) McKenna; 7 grandchildren Lisa Lukach, Laura (Joe) Daley, Greg Lukach, Jeffrey Daw, Timothy (Tanessa) Daw, Jonathan McKenna, and Gabrielle McKenna; four great grandchildren Penelope, Olenna, Violet, and Huxley; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Victor Oros; her parents Mary (Tihay) and George Hora; and 8 brothers and sisters Mary (Arthur), John (Jeanette), George (Hildred), Emma (Wayne), Cornelia, Leo (Flossie) Theresa (Steve) and Rosie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 12:00pm at St. George Church. Fr. Frederick Peterson, OSB will officiate with interment at Lincoln Memorial Park. She will lie in state at St. George Church on Saturday morning from 10:00am until the funeral hour at 12:00pm. Arrangements are being handled by THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N.
