Steven Kajtsa Jr., age 93, of Aurora, Illinois passed away peacefully at his home on October 21, 2025, with his two beloved daughters by his side.
Steven was born on April 14, 1932, in Kocser Pest, Hungary the son of Steven and Irene Kajtsa. After his parents relocated to the United States they made their home in Aurora, IL.
Steven was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Once his service was complete, he returned to Aurora, IL where he later met and married his beloved wife Romy in November 1966. They enjoyed 52 years together and were blessed with two daughters Theresa and Susan. Steven proudly worked for Stephens Adamson and Seal Master Bearings where he worked until he retired in 1992. Outside of work Steven had a passion for traveling and camping with his family, gardening and walking. He also loved bowling and played on many leagues over the years only leaving his favorite sport a few years ago. He enjoyed spending time with his three beautiful grandchildren often bowling with his oldest grandson Matthew. He enjoyed working on Sudoku puzzles and never missed a Chicago Bears game on television. Steven was a devout Catholic and was a lifelong member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Aurora, IL.
Steve was preceded in death by his wife Romy Kajtsa, his parents Steven and Irene Kajtsa and his brothers George (Brigitta) Kajtsa and Frank (Donna) Kajtsa. He is survived by his two daughters Theresa Kajtsa of Aurora, IL and Susan (Russell) Miller of Sugar Grove, IL and his three beloved grandchildren Matthew, Thomas and Madeline Miller of Sugar Grove. He is also survived by his sister Irene (Frelan)Underwood of Virginia and brother Louis (Barbara)Kajtsa of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.
