Stephan Bert Thomason, 69, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, at his home. He was born on March 2, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Steve was a 1976 graduate of Pattonville High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He worked for Sunshine Draperies in St. Louis, Missoui; after moving to Illinois, he was employed for forty plus years at Henkel Corp, formerly Sovereign Specialty Chemical and Pierce and Stevens until his retirement in 2019. He loved playing golf and was a devoted St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinal fan.
Steve was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Bonnie (Nilson) Thomason; two daughters, Michelle (Jeff Wolski) Iannotti, Wendy Didier; two stepsons, Christopher (Megan McCabe) Wagner, Nicholas Wagner; three grandchildren, Caitlynn Didier, Wright Wagner, Eleanor Wagner; three brothers, Bruce (June) Thomason, Danny (Judy) Thomason, Keith Thomason; his three "outlaws". Dawn (Rob) Cervenka, Kim (Scott) Weigand, Brian (Jenny) Langhans; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sheryl (Langhans) Thomason; his parents, Francis Dale and Colleen Marie (Brooks) Thomason; his brother-in-law, Ronald Langhans.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506. 630-631-5500
