Sharon L. Nickels, 82, of Sugar Grove, formerly of Aurora, IL passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at her home. She was born July 10, 1941 in Aurora, IL.
Sharon graduated from Madonna High School in 1960 and then graduated from John & Louis Beauty School in 1961. She was a longtime member of Holy Angels Church and was a volunteer for the Holy Angels Food Pantry (on the Monday crew) for many years. Sharon was known throughout the community, her family and friends as a very generous person and would help anyone in need. She loved her family, gardening and cooking for others. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children Connie (Ed) Binot, Denny Nickels, Jr., Linda (Karl) Weaver, Diane (Mike) Fowler, Thomas (Jahna) Nickels, and Carolyn (John) Cothron; her grandchildren Stephanie (Jacob) Binot, Christopher Binot, Danielle, Nathan and Hannah Weaver, Sarah (Christian) Gruett, Zachary and Thomas Fowler, Mason, Samuel, and Ileigh Nickels, and Gabriel and Jonathan Cothron; her great granddaughter Haizley Gruett; her sister-in-law Pat Lowe; her brother-in-law Steve Hable; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis L. Nickels; her grandson Nicolas Binot; nephew Tim Lowe; parents Mary and Charles Lowe; sister Judy Hable; and her brother Wayne Lowe.
Funeral from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY will be Monday, January 29, 2024 at 9:30am to Holy Angels Church at 10:00am. Fr. Dean Smith will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
