Sharon Wanda Hess of Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on May 23, 2026.

She was born on July 27, 1946, in York, Pennsylvania, to Donald and Hattie May Armstrong. Sharon was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord and cherished her family with all her heart. She attended Calvary Church in Aurora, Illinois, and Rose of Sharon Baptist Church in Pennsylvania, where her faith continued to guide and strengthen her throughout her life.

Sharon was known for her warm and friendly spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She touched many lives through her kindness, compassion, and caring heart. One of the most meaningful experiences in her life was her visit to Israel, which deeply strengthened her connection to her faith.

Above all, Sharon was a devoted mother and grandmother. She lovingly raised her four children, whom she cared for deeply and remained devoted to throughout her life. She also shared a very close bond with her father, whom she dearly loved before his passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; all of her siblings; and two beloved grandchildren, Dustin "Hank" Hess & Franklin "Frankie" Hines Jr.

Sharon is survived by her loving children, Angela, Judy, Richie, and Gail; eight cherished grandchildren, Bryce, Moriah, Brandon, David, Samantha, Xari, Phoenix, Anita; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
