Sharon L. Foust, 79, of Montgomery, Illinois, formerly of Laughlin, Nevada, Yorkville and Aurora, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, Illinois. She was born November 11, 1942 in Aurora, Illinois.
Sharon graduated from Madonna High School and Waubonsee Community College with an Associate degree in computer science. She worked for over sixteen years at AT&T Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies, retiring in 2001. After her early retirement, she worked for Copley Press, Fox Valley Publications, Fox Valley Shopping News, The Laughlin Nevada Times, and Clark County Parks and Recreation in Nevada. She was a member of the Volunteers in Partnership of the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce and served as historian in 2014. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Yorkville for over thirty years and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Laughlin, Nevada, and most recently she was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, Illinois.
She is survived by her two children, Mark (Lori) Foust, and Malea (Jamey) Immergluck; three grandchildren, Jessica Foust, Ty Wheaton, and Ryan Immergluck; her brother, David (Polly) Rausch; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Foust, in 2015; and her parents, John N. and Laura-Belle (Heifner) Rausch; her twin sons at birth, Michael and Matthew Foust; her brother in law, Jack (Carol)Wigner.
Sharon's family would like to thank the many wonderful friends and family that supported and loved her. They would also like to thank the doctors and staff at Lightways Hospice for the compassionate care she received.
Memorial funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 at 9:15 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM; Fr. Stephen Eickhoff will officiate with inurnment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, IL 60506. (630) 631-5500.
