Rudolph "Rudy" D. Mazanec, 90, of Aurora passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born May 7, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois.

Rudy was a devout member of Holy Angels Church and volunteered his time at the Holy Angels Food Pantry. He was a proud United States Army veteran and was stationed in Germany during his time in service. He retired from AT&T after forty two years of service to the company. He was a longtime member of the St. Charles Moose Lodge, and a Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all Rudy was a loving and devoted husband, father, stepfather, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of thirty one years, Diane (Burzlaff) Mazanec; three children, Tina (Tom) Cowger, Tommy (Sonia) Mazanec, Toni Mazanec; two stepchildren, Dawn Luna, Keith Kramer; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Steven) Krugle, Blake Mazanec, Michael Mazanec, Danielle (Brian) Johnson, Nicholas Cowger, Dan (Kristin) Luna, Timothy Mazanec; two great grandchildren, Ezzy Luna, Rowan Krugle; his sister, Janet Schober; his brother, Richard Mazanec; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Marie (Pecha) Mazanec; his son, Timothy Mazanec; and his step grandson, Kyle Kramer.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Holy Angels Church at 10:00 AM, Fr. Randy Fronek will officiate with interment at River Hills Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a liturgical wake service at 6:00 pm, officiated by Deacon Tom Hawksworth, at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506 630-631-5500
