Rudolf "Rudy" Neuberger, 72, of Aurora, IL passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at AMITA St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. He was born on March 6, 1949 in Parkston S.D., the son of Bernard and Troude (Morbitzer) Neuberger.
Rudolf worked for Fox Metro Wastewater Reclamation District for 25 years. Also, he was proudly elected to the Kane County Board where he served for four terms and was a co-coordinator of the Southeast Neighbors Association.
He was a man of strong faith and a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Aurora. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest joys were his granddaughter, golf, and gardening. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan.
Survivors include his loving wife, Debra (Hastings) Neuberger; his children, Erica (Michael) Minella and Amy Neuberger; his granddaughter Addison Minella; his sister, Beverly (Clay) Novak; and his niece and nephews, Allison (Mark) Lubas, Robert Novak, and Michael (Katie) Novak.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held, Friday, May 21, 2021 10:00 AM until 12:15 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street Aurora, IL. 60506. (630) 631-5500.
Funeral services will begin Friday, May 21, 2021 at 12:15 PM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 1:00 PM. Fr. Don McLaughlin will officiate.
In adherence to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, non-family visitors are asked to pay their respects to the family for only a few minutes and exit the funeral home in a timely fashion. Social distancing and face masks are required for those in attendance.
