Rosemary Popek, age 68 of Frankfort, formerly of Chicago, passed away at Manor Care Health Services-Palos Heights East. She was born June 28, 1952, the youngest daughter of Ignacy and Stanislawa (Prucnel) Popek, in Austin Texas. For many years she worked at Latham & Watkins, LLP in Chicago and was a proud veteran of the Army National Guard.

Rose or Rosie, as she was lovingly known by her family and friends, was a friendly, thoughtful, person who could brighten your day with her one of a kind laugh. She was a great host and loved having those who meant the most to her over for her famous tacos, a game night, or a holiday. She loved her family dearly, especially her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Renee (Sherman) Franks and her son, Joe Orlowski; grandsons Ben and Zach Franks; siblings, Roma (late Stan) Baran, Marty (Peggy) Popek, and Helen Acosta; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bogusha Popek; and brothers, Wally Popek and Hank Popek.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
