Obituary

Rosarita Mae "Rita" Weberg, 84, peacefully passed on to the loving arms of God on June 13, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 10, 1941, in Joliet, Illinois.
Rita grew up in Joliet and graduated from St. Frances Academy. In 1964, she married Thomas J. Weberg at St. Joseph Church, beginning a loving relationship that would span fifty six years.
A devoted member of St. John Neumann Church, Rita was actively involved in numerous church activities. She also dedicated many years of volunteer service to The Salvation Army in St. Charles and enjoyed spending time with friends through a variety of social activities, including bingo and pickleball.
Rita was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear will always be remembered.
Rita is survived by her four children, Carolyn (Rich) Severson, David Weberg, Kathleen (Isaac) Diaz, and Fr. Paul Weberg, grandchildren: Kelsey & Alex Weberg, Josiah & Abby Diaz, Mikey & Chris Severson, her sister Joan Noble; a sister-in-law, Katie (Timothy) Smirnoff, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Weberg; her parents, Michael and Frances (Kramerich) Billy; her sister, Sharon; and infant grandson, Johnny Diaz.
In state visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St John Neumann Church, 2900 E Main St, St. Charles, IL 60174.
Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St John Neumann Church, Fr. Paul Weberg will officiate with interment at Marmion Abbey Cemetery in Aurora.
