Rodney "Putts" Eugene Lundquist was born on February 16, 1930 and passed away the morning of June 12, 2023. A lifelong resident of Aurora, IL, Putts graduated from West Aurora High School in 1948. Shortly after, at the age of 18, he was employed at the Barber-Greene Company and remained until the company's Aurora closure in 1985. He was also a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna (Melchert) Lundquist and son, David (Maryalice) Lundquist, grandchildren Nickolas Melchert, Brittany (Chad) Lewandowski, Lauren Truelson and Allie (Cody) Altherr, great-grandchildren Ania, Mila, Niko & Enzo Lewandowski and Ruth Altherr with whom Putts shared his birthdate. Another great grandchild is due in November. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Joan Soderdahl, and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Emma Lundquist, his wife Frances "Jean" (Blatt) Lundquist in 2003, his only brother, Ronald Lundquist, and a nephew, Ronald "Aaron" Lundquist.

Funeral service will be Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora (630-631-5500).

Visitation will be Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY.
