It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Roberto Rodriguez Perez, who left us peacefully on May 29, 2024 at the age of 88 years old surrounded by his loving family in his final moments. He was a man with great personality larger than life and of immense wisdom. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. You could always go to him for guidance. He took English classes and became a US citizen in 1981. He was a member of The Latin American Clun in Aurora. He loved fishing, Super Bowl time, and gardening. He was a gambler at heart and enjoyed going to the casinos and buying his lottery tickets daily. He was a master craftsman who taught himself how to build wooden picnic tables and swing sets from scratch. As a long time bowler and a member of a bowling league, he traveled throughout the US on tournaments. He was also a parishioner of St. Therese Church in Aurora, Illinois for 65 years. He had a compassion and love for animals and had a white horse he cherished as a young boy named Savana Blanco (Spanish for "white sheet"). We were so very blessed to have him for 88 years. He will forever and lovingly be remembered in all of our hearts. May he rest in peace.
He is survived by his loving wife; Delores H. Perez, his daughters; Mary Rodriguez (Miguel Rodriguez), Rebecca Morales, and his son Robert F. Rodriguez (Mary E. Urrutia – Rodriguez), Grandchildren; Miguel R. Rodriguez (Yvonne Rodriguez), Leslie McCracken (Garrett McCracken), Lizette Medrano Theis (Ryan Theis), Jennifer Medrano, Helena J.
