Robert R. Doran, 82, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Mercy Medical Center in Aurora. He was born on May 15, 1941 in Aurora, the son of Eldred and Beatrice (Krietz) Doran. On June 30, 1962 he married his beloved, Mary Ann Kramer at St. Nicholas Church in Aurora. Together they had three daughters.
A devoted husband and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Bob was a talented painter and golf enthusiast. He loved to garden and enjoyed his record collection which number in the thousands. For many years he was a member of the Aurora Turners Club where he served as bartender. He is cherished and will be missed by his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife of sixty two years, Mary Ann; three daughters, Beverly Doran, Carol Doran, and Sherril (Ronald) Reinert; four grandchildren, Alyssa (Maggie) Tabin, Ariel Waver, Ronald (Stephanie) Reinert, and Jack Reinert; two great grandchildren, Conner and Charlotte Reinert; and sister, Sue (Tom) Vaghy.
Preceding him in death are his parents and father and mother in law, Ray and Bernice Kramer.
Funeral Mass will begin Friday, April 19, 2024 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church, 750 Old Indian Trail Road, Aurora for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Aurora.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois. 630-631-5500.
