Richard David Cobb, Jr., 68, of Aurora, IL, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021. He was born September 25, 1952 in Aurora, Illinois. He married Deborah McKeown October 6, 1973 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Aurora.

Richard retired from ComEd in 2008 after many years of faithful service. He enjoyed bike rides and playing baseball, which he did as a youngster and an adult. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan. He was a devoted coach of boy's baseball, and girl's softball and basketball. He especially enjoyed the years he was coaching his daughters teams.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah (McKeown) Cobb; his mother, Margaret (Altman) Cobb of Cortland; five daughters, Kathryn (Cliff) Rapier of Montgomery, Kristy Cobb of Aurora, Kelly (Andy) Kulakowski of Bristol, Keriann (Dimitri) Golfis of Oswego, Kolleen (Michael Varzino) Cobb of Aurora; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Layla, Spencer, Zachary, Logan, Penelope, Jude, Maddox; four sisters, Barb (Bruce) Stephens, Sue Byers, Jayne (John) Cole, Sally Maltar; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard D. Cobb, Sr.; his maternal and paternal grandparents; a grandson, Trevor; and his sister, Linda in infancy.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506. (630) 631-5500. The family requests that if you have White Sox attire please wear to Richard's services.

Funeral services will be held Thursday July 8, 2021 at 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, followed by interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
