Richard "Dick" L. Buss, 90 of Aurora passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Rush Copley Memorial Hospital in Aurora. He was born March 20, 1935 in Aurora the son of the late Herbert and Anna (Weiten) Buss.
Dick was a graduate of Marmion Military Academy and a proud Marine Corps veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing but his greatest love aside from his family, was gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Janice Buss; two sons, Tim Buss of Newark, IL and Joel Buss of Stockton, IL; and one brother, Bill Buss of Mountain Home, AR.
He is preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Duane Buss.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, April 28, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church, 722 High St., Aurora, IL. 60505. Fr. Godwin Asuquo will officiate with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
He will be Lying in State at St. Joseph Church on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 9:30 am until the funeral hour at 11:00 am.
