Raymond C. Feltes, 95 of Aurora, passed away at home on Jan.4, 2021. He was born in North Aurora on June 16, 1925 to Leonard and Loretta Feltes. On November 24, 1951 he was married to Margaret (Stanoy) Feltes and they were married for 67 years until her death in 2019.
He is survived by his children, Verna (John Wray)O'Gara, Kathryn (David) Bloom and James (Rita) Feltes, 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his bother Norbert (Judy) Feltes, his sister Betty (Russ) Kinney, and sisters-in law Janice Feltes, Helen Stanoy and Betty Hegland and many nieces and nephews.
Raymond proudly served his country as a charter member of the 5th Marine Division created during WWII. He served in the South Pacific and fought in the battle of Iwo Jima where he was wounded and was awarded a Purple Heart.
The family would like to thank Visiting Angels of North Aurora, especially caregivers Kim, Barb, Shari, Pearl, Diane and Dorothy and Rainbow Hospice for all the loving care he received.
The Daleiden Mortuary will coordinate a memorial service in the summer when family and friends can gather safely. An announcement at that time will be printed in the Aurora Beacon News.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Raymond's name to Blessed Sacrament Church in North Aurora.
