Randal J. "Randy" Kopp, 74, of Aurora, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024 at Accent Care Hospice in Naperville, IL. Randy was born March 29, 1950 in Aurora, IL.
Randy was a member of Holy Angels Church and a lifelong resident of Aurora. He was a graduate of East Aurora High School class of 1968, and Northern Illinois University class of 1974. He was employed for many years at Eby Brown in Aurora until he acquired the Aurora Vending Company from his brother. He served as the past president of Illinois Licensed Beverage Association. His love of politics led him to become an avid collector of political memorabilia, and membership in the American Political Items Collectors. He also served as president of the Marmion Sports Boosters.
Randy was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather; he will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Bonnie (Oros) Kopp; his two children, Katherine (Jason) Steil, John (Dominica) Kopp; four grandchildren, Addison Shechter, Sloane Kopp, Vincent Kopp, James Kopp; two nieces, Diana (Lucas) Prahl, and Denise (Don) Hornback.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Katherine (Banbury) Kopp; his brother, David Kopp, and a niece, Darla Corneils.
Funeral service will be Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Holy Angels Church at 10:00 AM; Fr. Michael Burrows, O.S.B. will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street Aurora, IL 60506, 630-631-5500.
