Ramona Ochoa, of Batavia, Illinois, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on July 13, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born on August 9, 1939, Ramona lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. A devoted Catholic, she found strength in her faith and shared it through her kindness, compassion, and devotion to those she loved.
Ramona was the beloved wife of Jose Ochoa. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Jose Ochoa Jr., Elvira Pruneda (Pablo Pruneda), Arcadia Ayala (Martin Ayala), Homero Ochoa (Jill), Diana Ochoa, Osie Ochoa (Juanita), and Abel Ochoa (Eva). She was also a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many.
Ramona enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and quilting, creating handmade gifts that her family will treasure for years to come. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family and caring for those she loved.
Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and unconditional love leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ramona's life on Monday, July 20, 2026 at St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church from 10:00AM until 11:00AM for the visitation, followed by a 11:00AM Funeral Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
