Rafaela Vazquez, age 72, of Aurora, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Rush Copley Medical Center.

Rafaela worked at J.C Schultz Enterprises Inc. She loved crocheting and cooking. Most of all, she loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three children, Guillermo (Patricia) Vazquez, Antonio (Karina) Vazquez, and Lorena (Manuel) Ortega; seven grandchildren, Cynthia Niño, Yahaira Vazquez, Nathaniel Vazquez, JuanPablo Vazquez, Alondra Vazquez, Emma Rose Vazquez, and Diego Ortego; great-grandchildren, Aliyah Lyla Niño, Nevaeh Rose Vazquez; siblings, Celia (Ezequiel) Vazquez, Maria (Jose G.) Aguirre, Antonio (Socorro) Rodriguez, Maria Guadalupe (Luis) Navarro, Socorro (Rosendo) Burciaga, Jose DeJesus (Carolina) Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Virginia (Martin) Bonales, Jose (Virginia) Rodriguez, Aurora (Miguel) Nunez, and Alicia (Sergio) Jimenez.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Miguel Vazquez; parents, Rafael Rodriguez, Sr. and Alicia (Nunez) Rodriguez; brothers, Ra
fael Rodriguez, Jr. and Rafael Rodriguez.

Rafaela was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, and she will be deeply missed.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Aurora. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St. Aurora, IL. 60506. (630) 631-5500. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In adherence to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, non-family visitors are asked to pay their respects to the family for only a few minutes and exit the funeral home in a timely fashion.
