Obituary

Nicholas Paul Stull, 79 of Aurora, passed away peacefully at home on December 4, 2023, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Nicholas was born on January 14, 1944, to Emil Stull and Dorothy (Konen) Stull. Nicholas attended St. Nicholas Elementary School and East Aurora High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy, at the age of 18, from 1962 to 1965. He met and married Marsha Matyas and they spent the next 58 years together. Nicholas and Marsha have four children, Jennifer, (Mark), John, (Donna), Anthony and Nicholas.
Nicholas was a meat cutter for Eagle supermarket for over 30 years. He coached baseball and softball and volunteered with the Boy Scouts. He was an avid fisherman and never turned down a chance to go fishing.
Nicholas was a great father, husband and son, but his true calling was to be "papa". He has 6 grandchildren, Megan, Kaitlan, Nicholas, Samantha, MacKenzie and Lily, and 2 great granddaughters, Elia and Isabella whom he adored. He never had a day off where he didn't want to pick them up and spend time with them. His favorite activity was taking them for ice cream at Banana Split.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Dorothy and a son who died at birth.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha, four children, six grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Siblings Diane (Ed) Efsic, Lorie (Ken) Bauder, Dorothy Schorn, Margie (Bob) George, Gary (Janet), and Michael (Lorie). Several nieces and nephews along with very close family friends, the Blatner boys, Andrew, Adam and Aaron.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N Lake St., Aurora 630-631-5500
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY; to St. Joseph Church at 11:00 AM; Fr. Jerome Leake will officiate with inurnment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
