Nicholas D. Hennen, 90 of Aurora, IL passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. He was born November 5, 1931 in Aurora.
Nicholas was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Church. He was employed by Stephens-Adamson for thirty eight years until his retirement. He was a longtime member of the Third Ward Club and the Phoenix Club.
Survivors include his three children, Patricia (Michael) Montminy of Aurora, Michael (Gretchen) Hennen of Canton, MI and David (Jolene) Hennen of Duluth, GA; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (James) Leo, Emily Voirin, Ashley Hennen, Katie Hennen, Nicholas Hennen, and Alexandria (Sean) Tye, Maxwell Hennen; four great grandchildren, Adelina Joynt, Anna Joynt, Samantha Leo, Grace Leo; a grandson-in-law, Adam Joynt; his brother, Jerry (Dolores) Hennen; a sister-in-law, Bessie Hennen; several nieces and nephews; and his very special companion Shirley Noble.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth A. Hennen; his granddaughter, Erin Joynt; his parents, Mathias and Margaret (Assell) Hennen; four siblings, William Hennen, Louise May, John Hennen and Evelyn Novak.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 1:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTARUY; Fr. Jerome Leake will officiate. Interment will be private.
