Nancy (Wanner) Ayersman, 82, passed away at home on March 6, 2021 in Oswego, IL.
Nancy was born on December 10, 1938 in Joliet, IL to Henry and Eleanor (Cassidy) Wanner. In her childhood, she moved to Aurora, IL, where she spent most of her life. She graduated from West Aurora High School. After raising her family she spent many years working for the Aurora Kidney Dialysis Center.
She was a devoted and loving mother and nothing brought her more joy than her 4 grandchildren. Nothing was more important to her than her kids and grandkids and she never missed an important event. She enjoyed watching and cheering for the Cubs, Bears, Indiana University basketball, and Notre Dame football. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Nancy is survived by her son, James (Joan) Ayersman, Jr. of Pinehurst. N.C., daughters Kathleen (Mike) Stein and Patti (Brian) McCumber both of Oswego, IL, grandsons Timothy and Joshua Halbesma, and granddaughters Katelyn and Brenna McCumber; and step grandchildren Alec and Hannah Stein. She is also survived by her sisters in law Jane Wanner, Marilyn Ayersman and Phyllis Satterfield, her cousin Mel Gray, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Eleanor Wanner, her brother, Henry Wanner Jr., and her former husband of 30 years, James Ayersman, Sr., as well as several cousins.
