Miguel Perez Jr., age 45, of Aurora, died Friday, August 27, 2021 at AMITA Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines. He was born June 1, 1976, in Aurora, the son of Miguel Perez and Maria Del Carmen Perez-Reyes.
Miguel had worked at Jewel-Osco in Palatine, and also at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Aurora.
Miguel had been a member of Sacred Heart Church in Aurora. He enjoyed being a DJ at family gatherings, cooking and especially grilling, as well as watching and playing sports. He was an avid Chicago sports fan, for all teams except the Cubs. He also enjoyed traveling, working on vehicles, and playing Pokemon Go. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, the family dog "Lobo", and his cat "Mittens".
Miguel was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandfather; 4 uncles Cruz, Manuel, Adon, and Jose; numerous cousins; and his best friend "Lupillo" Mendoza.
Survivors include his mother Maria Perez-Reyes of Aurora; his brothers and sisters Jose Angel Perez of Aurora, Martha Perez, Maria Perez, and Brenda (Trini) Ramos-Perez all of Palatine, and Antonio Perez of Aurora; his step-daughter Aliana Perez; and many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
Funeral services will begin Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mass at 12:00 PM. Fr. Juan Arciniegas will officiate with interment at Lincoln Memorial Park in Oswego, Illinois.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois. 630-631-5500.
