Michael A. Mascione II, age 78, of Henderson NV, and formerly of North Aurora, Illinois, passed away October 10, 2021 in Henderson. He was born January 2, 1943, in Chicago, the son of Michael Angelo Anthony and Antoinette (Tornatore) Mascione.
Michael retired from Fermilab in Batavia after nearly 38 years of dedicated service (1969-2017).
Michael was an avid golfer, he enjoyed traveling, playing board games, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He liked to work with his hands and was always remodeling something.
Survivors include his four children, Phillip Mascione, Bridget (Anthony) Marchetti, Peter (Khana) Mascione, and Steve Popp (Jim Tollios); his grandchildren; Anthony (Samantha) Marchetti Jr., Brianique Rodriquez, Peniro Mascione, Mia Mascione and PJ Mascione; his sister Rose (Manny) Pasillas ; two sisters in laws, Carole Griesinger and Susan Fodor; his nieces and nephews, DeLisa (Tim) Kviz, Larry (Lori) Tubbs, Tony Tubbs, Lonnie (Laura) Tubbs, Eric (Selynn) Griesinger, Lauren Fodor; and many other relatives and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia L. Mascione and son Michael Mascione, III.
Burial of cremated remains will be on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Aurora with Deacon Tim White, officiating. Funeral arrangements by the Daleiden Mortuary 220 N. Lake St, Aurora IL 60506. 630 631 5500.
