Obituary

Michael "Mike" A. Kartheiser, 74, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center in Aurora. He was born February 8, 1948 in Aurora, the loving son of Raymond "Bud" and Dolores (Raspiller) Kartheiser. On August 21, 1971 he married the love of his life, Stephanie Lies in Aurora.
Mike was always a caregiver. He devoted his entire life to serving others in need. His specialty was, if you needed a ride somewhere he would make sure you got there. He also shared his love of life's simple pleasures with others. He passed on the joy of music, sports, sweets, and fishing and long drives to the people in his life and it lives on through them. There were many challenges presented throughout Mike's life but he was never one to complain. Instead he would pass on a witty quip that he likely learned from his Dad.
It is comforting to know that he is now with his Dad and son and smiling down on us. Mike is loved and will be missed deeply.
Mike is survived by his wife, Stephanie; children, Eric (Cindi) Kartheiser and Ryan Kartheiser; grandchildren, Abigail, Megan, Emma, and Brianna Kartheiser; mother, Dolores Kartheiser; siblings, Pete (Bev) Kartheiser, Mary (Paul) Cronin, Mark (Laura) Kartheiser, Ann Frances, Tom Kartheiser, and Marti (Michael) Bennett; and several nieces and nephews .
Preceding him in death is his son, Paul Kartheiser; father, Raymond "Bud" Kartheiser; brother, Patty Kartheiser; and nephew, Patrick Kartheiser.
