Maureen Louise Cansino (McCahan), 83, of Boulder Hill, IL passed away peacefully on

McCahan.
She is a graduate of Holy Cross Academy in Brookline, MA. While attending nursing school Maureen met the love of her life, John Cansino Sr., and together they built a marriage rooted in devotion, partnership, and family. They shared 62 years of marriage, and a life centered on love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.
Maureen was an avid gardener who found joy and peace in nature and loved staying
active outdoors. She especially cherished being near the water and taking trips back to
the Massachusetts coast, where she enjoyed walking on the beach and collecting
seaside treasures. Maureen and John loved traveling the country together, whether
riding cross-country on their motorcycles or setting out on memorable trips with their car
club. At home, she cherished visits with her great grandchildren, and enjoyed quiet
moments on her deck while watching the squirrels and the birds she faithfully fed.
Maureen is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, John Cansino Sr., and four
children Joanne Buckley, John Cansino Jr. (Sandie), Susan (Steve) Babiarz, and
