Mary “Colleen” Geihm, born July 10, 1957, in Sedalia, Missouri, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 20, 2026, in Geneva, Illinois.

Colleen will be remembered with deep love by those who knew her and by the family she held so close throughout her life. Her passing leaves a lasting absence in the hearts of all who shared in her life, and her memory will continue to be cherished in the quiet moments, family gatherings, and everyday acts of love that connect generations. 

Colleen loved Ireland (especially the trip she took with Jeff, Carol, and John to honor Daddy) as well as all things Irish. She also loved anything that had to do with angels, her family, and her husband & grandchildren dearly. She worked at IMSA for over 20 years. 

She is survived by her husband, Jeff; her mother-in-law, Maxine; and her father-in-law, Warren. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Carol (Cooney) Fischer, and Carol’s husband, John Fischer. Colleen’s love lives on through her children: her son, James Cromley, and his wife, Caitlin; her daughter, Caitlin Farmer, and her husband, Justin; her daughter, Maureen Geihm; her daughter, Jillian Knight, and her husband, Darion; her daughter, Meagan Miller, and her husband, TJ; and her daughter, Erin Jackson, and her husband, Dan. 

Her family was further blessed by the joy of her grandchildren, Olivia, Danny, Ashlyn, Calvin, Isla, Wesley, Owen, River, Camryn, Adella, and Rylie. Each of them was part of the circle of love that surrounded Colleen, and each carries forward a piece of her memory. 

She was preceded in death by her father, James Cooney, and her mothers, Anne (Hurley) Cooney and Barbara (Lamy) Cooney. May Colleen be remembered for the love she gave so freely and for the family who will continue to honor her life with gratitude, affection, and enduring remembrance.

A memorial visitation will take place on October 3rd, 2026 at Daleiden Mortuary (220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506) from 10:00AM until 11:00AM. The memorial service will follow at 11:00AM.
