Mary F. Chilelli, 74, of Aurora, IL, passed away peacefully in hospice care on Thursday, November 28, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Mary was born on September 10, 1950, in Aurora to Frances S. (Krantz) and Gerard P. Schwartz. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Grade School and graduated from Madonna High School in 1968. Mary began her career at Bell Labs in Naperville, where she met her husband, Lawrence. They were married on August 12, 1972, at St. Joseph's Parish and built a beautiful life together in the Marywood neighborhood of Aurora. There, they raised three wonderful sons, who were the pride of her heart.
Mary's life was defined by love, strength, and grace. She was a devoted wife for 52 years to Lawrence, and her heart overflowed with unconditional love for her three sons and eight grandchildren. Her wisdom, kindness, and humor brought joy to everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Despite facing numerous health challenges throughout her life, Mary's resilience and love for her family carried her through. She approached each obstacle with courage, inspiring those around her with her unwavering spirit.
Mary is survived by her husband, Lawrence; her sons, Kevin (Sarah), Scott (Kelly), and Mark (Emily); her grandchildren, Isabel, Nicolas, Jacob, Adam, Lily, Dominic, Ethan, and Madeline; her siblings, Susan Ducar, Jane Faber, and Barbara (Sam) Clementz; and her sisters-in-law, Kathy Schwartz; her brothers-in-law, Tim Chilelli and Gary Hirt; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances S. (Krantz) and Gerard P. Schwartz; her brother, Bill Schwartz; her brothers-in-law, Robert Ducar and Glenn Faber; her sisters-in-law, Wendy Greely and Teri Hirt; and her in-laws, Alfred and Lucille Chilelli.
Funeral from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY will be Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 9:30am to Annunciation Catholic Church, 1820 Church Rd, Aurora, IL, at 10:00am, followed by burial at Marywood Cemetery.
