Mario "Alex" Barba, 42, of Aurora passed away on January 4, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born May 11, 1978 in Aurora, the son of Jose and Maria (Lopez) Barba. On October 10, 2001 he
married his best friend Kristen Kuchenbecker. Together they raised four wonderful sons.
Mario worked as an auto technician. He will always be celebrated and remembered for being kind,
generous, and loving. Anyone who met him was a better person after meeting him. Mario was a loving
husband, father, brother, son and loyal friend. He is cherished and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Kristen; sons, Angel, Xavier, Logan, and Evan; mother, Maria Barba; brothers,
Oscar and Hector Barba; and sister, Janeth Barba.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose T. Barba.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM at The
Daleiden Mortuary, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, 630-631-5500. Memorial Service for family will be held
at 2:30 PM.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, non-family visitors are asked to pay their respects to the family for
only a few minutes and exit the funeral home in a timely fashion. Social distancing and face masks are
required for those in attendance.
