Obituary

Marilou Hutter, 92, of Batavia, formerly of Aurora, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at Michaelson Health Care Center. She was born March 22, 1928 in Aurora, IL. the youngest of four girls of Herbert and Jeanette (Nickel) Carpenter.
Marilou attended Abraham Lincoln and Bardwell School and was a 1946 graduate of East Aurora High School. She served several times as a class reunion committee chairwomen and committee member.
She was united in Christian marriage to Gohl E. Hutter on November 12, 1949 at Sacred Heart Church and together they shared fifty nine years as loving parents and grandparents. Marilou was devoted to her immediate family of two sons and two daughters and their children, as well as her large extended family of siblings, nieces and nephews on both her and her husband's side of the family and all their special family friends. Together with her family she enjoyed years of vacations and family reunions at Lake Delavan and Hot Springs Village in Arkansas. She was an active room mother for all her children and totally enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's sports and school activities and all the many birthdays.
She was a devoted member of St. Gall Church where she served on various committees. She was a member of the Aurora Junior Women's League, the Women's Club of Aurora and a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was active in the Meals on Wheels program.
Marilou is survived by her loving children, Regina (Mike) Ruark of Wisconsin, G. Richard (Anne) Hutter of Wisconsin, Scott E. (Mary) Hutter of Iowa and Holly (Andrew) Franklin of Sugar Grove, IL; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Jenny) Ruark, Katie (Kyle) Shinnick, Bradley (Lorna Beth) Hutter, Amy (Gil) Harmon, Joel (Carly) Hutter, Justin Hutter, Megan Franklin, Drew Franklin and Olivia Franklin; she was the great grandmother of eleven and was expecting number twelve in February 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gohl E. Hutter; her parents, Herbert and Jeanette (Nickel) Carpenter; her three sisters, Mildred Stallman, Jean Hart, and Dorothy Paris.
Private family funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY Fr Max Striedl will officiate with interment at Lincoln Memorial Park. A public celebration of Marilou's life will be scheduled at a later date when pandemic circumstances allow.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St. Aurora, IL. 60506. (630) 631-5500.

In adherence to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, non-family visitors are asked to pay their respects to the family for only a few minutes and exit the funeral home in a timely fashion.
