Marie G. Cox, 105, of Aurora, IL passed away on February 5, 2025 at The Bickford of Aurora. Marie was born on December 16, 1919, in Elgin, Illinois.
Marie was a longtime resident of Aurora and Big Rock, Illinois. She was a dedicated teacher for over thirty years teaching third grade at Bardwell Elementary School in Aurora.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Margaret (James) Seifrid and Patricia (Thomas) Malohn; she was the grandmother of nine, Michael (Melissa) Seifrid, Michelle (Ray) Seifrid, Kathryn (Steve) Tritle, Erin (Jeremy) Anton, Megan (William) Gentzler, Margaret (Eric) Bakken, Barbara (Jeremy) Howard, Mary Beth Malohn; as well as a great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Thomas Cox; her daughter, Sister Barbara Cox, OP; her grandson, J. Scott Seifrid; her brother, Elroy and her sister, Dolores.
Marie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother; she will be dearly missed by all that loved her.
Private services will be held at a later date.
