Maria M. Zamora, 89, of Montgomery, formerly of Aurora, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 6, 1934 in Mexico.
Maria was married on July 14, 1949 to Dagoberto Zamora, Sr. in Penitas, TX. They moved to Aurora, IL in 1957. Maria was employed at AT&T for 19 years and then employed at Westell for 10 years until her retirement in July of 1998.
She is survived by her four daughters Rosie (Michael) Findley of Yorkville, Diana (Bill) Douglas of Hinckley, Annie (Larry) Freese of Plano, and Debbie (Justin)Nervis of Oswego; her son Dagoberto "Bert" Zamora, Jr. of Montgomery; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchldren; 3 great great grandchildren; her brother Visente Valades; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dagoberto Zamora, Sr.; two daughters Sylvia Aguilar and Tina McIntosh; two grandsons Marque McIntosh and Luke Zamora; her parents Rosa (Hernandez) and Pedro Maravillas; her siblings Augustine Valades, Jose, Magdalena, and Josephine Maravillas.
Funeral from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY will be Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9:15am to St. Anne Church at 10:00am. Fr. Stephen Eickhoff will officiate.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm with the Rosary to be recited at 4:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, 630-631-5500.
