Maria Tremaine, 87, of Geneva, IL, formerly of Aurora, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Arden Courts of Geneva. She was born October 25, 1930 in Mola di Bari, Italy.
Maria moved to Waukegan, IL in March 1947, with a dual citizenship in the United States and Italy. In 1956 Maria moved to Aurora, IL where she was a member of Holy Angels Church, Provena Mercy Auxiliary, St. Anne's Society Unit 5 and the Prisco Friendly Center.
Throughout her life Maria worked at various companies including Carson Pirie Scott and Company, Provena Mercy Hospital in the patient accounts, dietary and copy center departments, and at Sam's Club in Naperville. Her most cherished job was being a loving mother to her four children and the most caring grandmother "Nonna" and great grandmother.
She is survived by her four children, Michael (Sandy) Tremaine of Plymouth, IN, Jean (Chris) Clementz of Lakeville, MN, Sharon (Michael) Fitzpatrick of Janesville , WI, William (Sandy) Tremaine of Aurora, IL; eight grandchildren and one step grandson; many great grandchildren; and a niece, Marie Conenna of Highland Park, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Saverio and Giovanna (DeSerio) Conenna; two brothers, Santino Conenna and Peter Conenna; a sister-in-law, Grace Conenna; a nephew, Xavier Conenna; a niece, Joanne Conenna; and a grandson, Michael Ryan Tremaine.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Holy Angels Church at 10:00 AM; Fr. Selvaraj Lucas will officiate with interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva, IL.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506. (630) 631-5500.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Maria's name may be made to the Rosary High School Scholarship Fund or Holy Angels Grade School.
