Maya Sady-Tyrawa, lovingly known as "Maya Papaya," born March 29, 1962, passed away at her home on May 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Poland, Maya began her career as a nurse caring for newborn babies. At the age of 32, she moved to the United States, where she continued her lifelong dedication to caring for others. She worked for many years in nursing homes and later at Mercy Medical Center, where she provided compassionate care to patients and families. She was known for her warm personality and her cheerful greeting, "Good morning, good morning, honey child."

Maya was a ray of sunshine in every room she stepped into and brought warmth and joy to everyone around her.

Maya was happily married for 44 years to her devoted husband, Ryszard. She was a loving wife, mother, and cherished friend whose family was the center of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Ryszard; her sons, David and Arthur; and her daughter-in-law, Ana.

The family thanks all who have offered love, prayers, and support during this difficult times.
