Maria Morales, 88, of Aurora, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 surrounded by loving family. She was born on May 11, 1932 in Mexico, the daughter of Cirilo and Matilde Santillanes.
She loved sewing and gardening and taking care of her plants. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Maria is survived by her daughters, Guadalupe (Gary) Brown, Luz (Humberto) Arroyo, Margarita (Jose) Bustamante, Leticia Morales, Soledad (Juan) Garibay, and Marta (Mark) Dixon; sons, Manuel (Yolanda) Morales, Luis (Mary) Morales, Antonio (Frances) Morales, and Jose (Rosanne) Morales; 34 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; 2 great- great grandchildren; three brothers; one sister; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Matilde and Cirilo Santillanes; husband Armando Morales Diaz; grandson, Benjamin Morales; and four brothers.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30am on Monday, January 4, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 430 E. Downer Place, Aurora.
A visitation for family will be from 9-11 am at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N Lake Street, Aurora on Monday, January 4, 2021. Due to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, non-family visitors are asked to pay their respects to the family for only a few minutes and exit the funeral home in a timely fashion. Social distancing and face masks are required for those in attendance.
