Maria Del Carmen Perez, 72, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Mercy Medical Center in Aurora. Maria was born on April 25, 1951 in Mexico, to Refugio Reyes and Maria Gonzalez. She was married to her beloved husband, Miguel Perez Lopez , for 25 years before his passing.
A devoted wife, and loving mother, Maria found joy in many aspects of her life but especially in her faith. She loved her Chicago sports teams , specifically the Bears and Cubs, as well as cooking, getting dressed up, going dancing, and caring for her dog Lobo. Over the holidays Maria found so much happiness in Christmas decorations and spending time with her family. When vacation time came Maria loved to travel to California. All in all nothing made her happier than being a grandmother.
Maria is survived by her children Angel (Lynn) Reyes, Marta (Rafael) Perez, Maria (Eduardo) Ramos, Brenda (Trinidad) Ramos, Antonio "Tony" Perez; first generation grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Haley, Ricardo "Richie", Yvette "Bibi", Oscar, Esperanza, Jasmine, Jocelyn, Celeste, and numerous other grand and great grandchildren; siblings, Refugio, Rafael, Leandra, Francisco, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death is her husband Miguel; son, Miguel Jr; parents, Refugio Reyes and Maria Gonzalez: and brothers, Adon, Manuel, and Jose.
Funeral Mass will begin Monday February 12, 2024 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois. 630-631-5500.
