Maria L. Berrios, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on June 3, 2026, surrounded by the love and presence of her family.

She was born on December 11, 1938, in San Benito, Texas, to Jose and Margareta Torres. Maria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness, strength, and loving spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She cherished her family above all else and created a legacy of love, faith, and compassion that will be remembered for generations.

She is survived by her children; William (Laurie) Berrios, Cynthia Berrios, Mary Frances (William) Stearns, Margaret (Richard) Howie, Cris Vargas and Edwin Torres, her special friends; Angel D. Del Rio, Sarah Losano, Janell & Danny Perez Family, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both her parents; husband Emilio, and daughter Rosemary.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June, 8, 2026 at 10:30AM from Daleiden Mortuary to St. Nicholas Catholic Church at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
