Marguerite I. Murphy, age 97, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away at home on December 5, 2025. She was born on April 22, 1928, in La Salle, Illinois.

Before retiring, Marguerite worked in the sales department of AT&T, where she was known for her professionalism and dedication. She was a faithful member of Holy Angels Parish in Aurora and was a member of the St. Anne's Society. She loved to travel and held her Irish heritage close to her heart. Raised on a farm, she always cherished the land and rural life; and above all, she treasured spending time with her family.

She married Donald E. Murphy on March 4, 1946 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in La Salle, IL. He passed away on February 23, 2015.

She is survived by her Son, Donald (Nancy) Murphy; Daughter, Patricia Murphy; Grandchildren, Paul (Amy), Michael (Tammy), Karen (Shane), Beth, and Brian (the late Jackie); Great-Grandchildren, Kasey (Reid), Ryan, Joey, Payten, Addison, Owen, Weston, Silas, Kaylee, Grace, and Ethan; Sister, Anna Schwieckert; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both her Parents, Pearle and Margaret (Bennett) Thompson; her Husband; Sisters, Judith Thompson, Carol Jean Davis, Nancy Uranich, Mildred Bruski; Brothers, George Thompson, and John Thompson.

A visitation will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mendota on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 11:00AM – 12:00PM. The funeral service will begin at noon, followed by the graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mendota. Arrangements entrusted to The Daleiden Mortuary (220 N.
