Marcita Antoinette Lucia, 79 of Las Cruces, New Mexico passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025 in Batavia, IL.
She was born November 12, 1945 in Bancroft, Iowa, daughter of the late Mabel M. (Schneider) and Leonard C. Hatten.
Marcita was married for nearly 60 years to her beloved husband, Dwight, until his passing in 2022 and their entire lives were built around living for, and enjoying each other.
Survivors include her two daughters, Dr. Carmen Lucia (Daniel Carter) of Phoenix, AZ and Dina Weiss (Stephen Wirth) of Aurora, IL.; two granddaughters, Cassidy and Jordan Weiss; two sisters, Shirley Johnson of Sioux Falls, SD and Connie (Jerry) Reimers of Bancroft, IA; one brother, Dennis (Cindy) Hatten of Indianola, IA and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother Thomas Hatten; two sisters, Patricia Milefchik and Joyce "Hoppy" Dietz.
